| | | | | | | | | BACKGROUND: | As City Manager Mark Heydlauff advised at your last meeting, the floor in the Beaver Island Boat Company office is failing. To remedy this, we have requested quotes from Bartlett's Home Interiors and Whitley's Floor Covering. The original tile floor was topped with an epoxy several years ago that is now cracking in several places. Bartlett's have supplied a quote and we are waiting for a response from Whitley's. We do not want to disclose one quote with one still potential to come in. We will provide you an update on Monday with more detail. The lease with BIBCo does stipulate that the floor is the building owner's responsibility with the tenant paying $500 per fix plus $100 per time the lease is renewed. This equates to an $800 payment due from BIBCo for this fix. Due to scheduling, as we learned from the last time work was done in this building, it is important to do this work in the off-season and the quote from Bartlett's is not guaranteed after December 31 due to potential supplier pricing changes.
